Frontier Premier League to begin play in 2021!

The Frontier Premier League (FPL) has received sanctioning from US Club Soccer and is set to begin play in May 2021. A first of its kind in the region, the FPL will seek to provide a competitive league for players of all ages, beginning with a competitive amateur men’s division and women’s division.

As a league, the FPL will operate within South Dakota and North Dakota to help local communities grow the beautiful game through competitive matches and local soccer culture. The amateur league allows for players as young as sixteen (16) years old to compete in a structure that provides an opportunity for competition in the country’s longest-running tournament in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. Due to the structure of the FPL, no players will jeopardize amateur status within their youth clubs, high schools, or universities.

With the sanctioning of the FPL through US Club Soccer, the regionalized league is a first of its kind for the Dakotas. Four member clubs have already committed to the FPL and will be announced on Tuesday, March 30, and Wednesday, March 31. About the Frontier Premier League

Our passion is to grow the game and to promote a thriving soccer culture. Clubs, Communities, and Players will have exclusive access to creating this platform. The Frontier Premier League (FPL) is for those who want to keep playing after they have aged out of their youth clubs.

The FPL is affiliated with the American Premier Alliance (APA). The APA provides a platform for players and clubs to continue playing in an affordable and competitive soccer league. The FPL is the premier U23 adult amateur league sanctioned by US Club Soccer, which provides access to competing in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, the nation’s longest-running tournament.
